This setup is developed and tested specifically for the Audi B9 A4/S4 & A5/S5/RS5 (48.5mm - with EDC), built around a mono-tube damper with 30-way damping adjustment and ride height adjustable independent of spring preload.
BR Series coilovers on the Audi B9 A4/S4 & A5/S5/RS5 (48.5mm - with EDC) aren't locked into a coil spring setup for life. Because they feature fully-threaded shock bodies, these coilovers convert to a full air suspension setup by simply removing the coil springs and threading on a set of coilover conversion bags in their place. Want to start out with coils and move to air suspension in the future? This makes the BR Series a practical starting point for owners who want coilover-level adjustability now but may want to move to air suspension down the road, or who want to keep that option open without committing to a full air ride kit up front.
