Ce que cette pièce change

Un disque sport se juge sur sa capacité à évacuer la chaleur, pas sur son dessin. Rainures et perçages chassent les gaz et la poussière qui s'intercalent entre le disque et la plaquette : le mordant reste franc freinage après freinage, là où un disque plein commence à devenir spongieux.

Sur une voiture de route, le gain se voit surtout en descente de col ou en journée circuit — c'est-à-dire exactement là où un freinage fatigué fait peur.

Ce qu'il faut prévoir

Disques et plaquettes se changent par essieu, jamais d'un seul côté.
Rodage : une dizaine de freinages progressifs sans arrêt complet avant d'attaquer, sinon la plaquette dépose mal et le disque voile.
Vérifier que la bague ABS est fournie ou récupérable quand le disque la porte.
