Is it reliable for daily use?
Absolutely. The Slam Series kits are specifically designed for intensive daily use with a focus on comfort and reliability. Thousands of users drive every day with Air Lift Slam in Europe and worldwide, even with a very low stance.
Is an air management system mandatory?
For practical use, yes. This sheet only includes the air springs. You will need an air management system (compressor, tank, solenoid valves) to adjust the height. We offer Air Lift management kits separately.
What is the difference between Slam and Performance?
Slam Series is focused on daily comfort with an emphasis on maximum drop and everyday use. The damping is fixed (tuned). Performance Series offers much more adjustability with monotube shock absorbers adjustable over 30 positions, even more premium components, and a sporty/track driving focus. If you primarily want a slammed look with daily comfort, Slam is the perfect choice. If you want maximum adjustability and a performance-oriented setup, choose Performance Series.
Can the damping be adjusted?
The Slam Series kits feature a fixed-rate damping, optimized (tuned) and specifically adapted to the vehicle. The behavior is designed for comfortable daily use, with a good balance between comfort and handling.
Is the installation complicated?
Air Lift designs Slam Series kits for simplified OEM replacement, with bolt-on installation on most vehicles and little to no modifications. A detailed manual is provided with each kit. If you have mechanical skills or are used to working on your car, installation is doable. Otherwise, we recommend consulting a professional to ensure optimal and safe assembly.
Can I pass the technical inspection?
Many Air Lift references have TÜV approvals (German certification). Depending on your country and the local regulations, specific procedures may be required. Contact us to check your vehicle's status and obtain approval documents if available.
Can you revert to the original suspension?
Yes! Slam Series kits are designed to replace the OEM suspension and can be removed to reinstall the original components if needed. This is a major advantage if you sell the vehicle or change projects.
