BBS lists the weight of each bare wheel, something few manufacturers publish. This is useful information: the wheel is part of the vehicle's unsprung mass, which the dampers must control over every road imperfection. A lighter wheel is easier to control and also reduces inertia during acceleration and braking.

As a reference, an 18-inch alloy wheel commonly weighs between 10 and 13 kg depending on its width and design. The tyre's weight is added to this figure.

Fitting, hardware and centering rings

With BBS, the fitting kit — hardware and centering rings — is included when purchasing a set of 4 wheels. An order of 1, 2 or 3 wheels is supplied bare. BBS hardware is supplied only if your vehicle's original hardware is incompatible, and centering rings only if they are needed: provide your vehicle details when ordering and we'll determine what you need.

This wheel uses 60° conical hardware, standard on almost all alloy wheels. Need individual hardware or specific parts? See our nut packs and wheel bolt packs, or ask us for advice.
