What this part changes

The original bushing is made of rubber: it filters well, but it deforms under load. When cornering or braking, the control arm moves by a few millimeters and the alignment changes during the maneuver - this is the slop between the steering wheel and the wheels.

Polyurethane deforms much less: the connection becomes precise and repeatable, and the car responds in the same place every time. In return, more road noise and vibrations enter the cabin, especially when cold.

What to plan for

Install lubricated with PU or silicone grease - never use mineral grease, as it damages the polyurethane.
Tighten to the specified torque with the wheels on the ground.
On a family car, start with the front stabilizer bar before converting everything to PU.
