The VIAIR intercooler head dissipates compression heat far more efficiently than a standard head. Performance equivalent to a 480C, with less weight, less heat output, and reduced amperage draw—ideal in a dual-compressor setup to preserve the battery and alternator.

🔧 Installation Recommendations — Dual Compressor
  • ⚡
    One dedicated 40A fuse per compressor is mandatory — a higher or lower amperage is not permitted. Never connect both units to a single fuse.
  • 💧
    Install each compressor only in an area protected from water and heat — exposure to spray, condensation, and engine heat must be avoided.
  • 🛢️
    No lubricating oil required — dry-rotor compressors with no periodic maintenance.
  • 🔋
    Two compressors in parallel place a greater demand on the electrical system: a battery in perfect condition and fully charged is essential. Excessively low voltage can damage the coil during startup. A high-capacity alternator is strongly recommended.
  • 🔩
    Ensure each compressor is securely mounted and has good ground-cable conductivity, connected directly to the vehicle body.
  • 🌬️
    Ensure sufficient fresh-air supply for both units — do not confine the compressors in a completely enclosed space.
⚠️
The two 40A fuses are required but not included. Use a thread sealant — Teflon tape is not recommended by VIAIR. Recommended 1/4" tightening torque: 22~24 Nm.
