The VIAIR 485C Gen 2 Platinum Duo Pack is the highest-performance dual-compressor configuration in the VIAIR range. Each 485C Gen 2 delivers 2.24 CFM through a 3/8" stainless steel fitting at 100% duty cycle at 200 PSI — one hour of continuous operation at full pressure per unit. In parallel, this pack reaches 4.48 CFM combined with absolute reliability. The pack includes 40A relays, a 165/200 PSI pressure switch and fuse holder for a turnkey installation.

🔧 Double-Compressor Installation Recommendations

One dedicated 40A fuse per compressor is mandatory — the 40A relays included in the pack must be used. Never connect both units to a single fuse.

Install each compressor only in an area protected from water and heat.

No lubricating oil required — dry rotor, no periodic maintenance.

Two compressors in parallel place a greater load on the electrical system: a battery in perfect condition and fully charged is essential. A high-capacity alternator is strongly recommended.

Ensure secure mounting and good ground-cable conductivity for each unit, connected directly to the vehicle body.

Ensure sufficient fresh-air supply for both units.

The two 40A fuses are required but not included (relays and pressure switch included). Thread sealant is mandatory — Teflon tape is not recommended. 3/8" tightening torque: 22~24 Nm. Professional installation recommended.
