What this part changes

The original bushing is made of rubber: it filters well, but deforms under load. When cornering or braking, the arm moves by a few millimeters and the alignment changes during the maneuver - that's the vagueness between the steering wheel and the wheels.

Polyurethane deforms much less: the connection becomes precise and repeatable, and the car responds at the same point every time. In return, you may experience more road noise and vibrations in the cabin, especially when cold.

What to plan for

  • Install with grease made for PU or silicone - never use mineral grease, as it damages polyurethane.
  • Tighten to the specified torque with the wheels on the ground.
  • On a family car, start with the stabilizer bar before converting everything to PU.
