The OZ Ultraleggera HLT

The Ultraleggera reworked with HLT (High Light Technology): the wheel is flow-formed, which densifies the material around the tyre bead seat. With the same design, it offers greater rigidity and significantly reduces unsprung weight compared with the cast version.

Construction: flow-formed (HLT)

Flow forming stretches the wheel while it rotates at high temperature. The material becomes denser around the tyre bead seat: greater rigidity, lower weight, without the cost of a forged wheel.

This process explains most of the price difference within the OZ catalogue when comparing wheels with similar designs and dimensions.
