The VIAIR intercooler head dissipates compression heat much more efficiently than a standard head. Performance equivalent to a 480C, with less weight, less heat generated, and reduced amp consumption — ideal for dual compressors to preserve battery and alternator.

🔧 Installation Recommendations — Dual Compressor
  • ⚡
    A dedicated 40A fuse per compressor is mandatory — higher or lower amperage is not allowed. Never share one fuse for both units.
  • 💧
    Install each compressor only in an area protected from water and heat — avoid splashes, condensation, and engine heat at all costs.
  • 🛢️
    No lubrication oil needed — dry rotor compressors, no periodic maintenance required.
  • 🔋
    Two compressors in parallel put more strain on the electrical system: a fully charged, perfectly healthy battery is essential. Too low voltage can damage the coil at startup. A high-capacity alternator is strongly recommended.
  • 🔩
    Make sure each compressor has a secure mounting and good ground cable conductivity, connected directly to the chassis.
  • 🌬️
    Ensure sufficient fresh air supply for both units — do not enclose the compressors in a completely sealed space.
⚠️
The 2 x 40A fuses are required but not included. Use a thread sealant product — Teflon tape is not recommended by VIAIR. Recommended torque for 1/4": 22~24 Nm.
