🔧 Installation Recommendations
  • ⚡
    The compressor must operate only with a 40A fuse — higher or lower amperage is not allowed. In multi-compressor setups, each unit must have its own fuse.
  • 💧
    Install only in an area protected from water and heat — the compressor is not designed for direct exposure to splashes or extreme temperatures.
  • 🛢️
    No lubrication oil needed — the VIAIR 444C is a dry rotor compressor, requiring no periodic maintenance.
  • 🔋
    Use only with a battery in good condition and fully charged — too low voltage can damage the compressor coil at startup (high starting current).
  • 🔩
    Ensure a secure mounting and good ground cable conductivity between the compressor and the vehicle body.
  • 🌬️
    Ensure sufficient fresh air supply — never place the compressor in a completely enclosed space.
⚠️
The 40A fuse is required but not included. Use a thread sealant during installation — Teflon tape is not recommended by VIAIR. Recommended torque 1/4": 22~24 Nm.
