Sport brake disc set for the rear axle for Hyundai Sonata II + III

Specifications

Part numberEVOBS1320P
Weight8.6 kg
Years1991 - 1998
EAN code4251016730283

Technical details

  • OEM reference: 5841134110

What this part changes

A sport disc is judged by its ability to disperse heat, not by its appearance. Grooves and drilled holes remove the gases and dust that build up between the disc and pad: braking remains crisp brake after brake, whereas a solid disc begins to feel spongy.

On a road car, the benefit is most noticeable on a mountain descent or track day - precisely where tired brakes become frightening.

What to plan for

  • Discs and pads must be replaced per axle, never on only one side.
  • Bedding-in: perform around ten progressive brake applications without coming to a complete stop before pushing the car, otherwise the pad will not bed in properly and the disc may warp.
  • Check whether the ABS ring is supplied or can be transferred when the disc carries it.
✔ ECE approval
