Suspension control arm for Ford Fiesta III/ Fiesta van/Courier van, front axle-L

Specifications

Part number41FO0005
Weight2.53 kg
Years03.1989 - 02.1996
EAN code4250570678390

Technical details

  • With ball joint and bushing
  • 2-point ball joint mounting = 17mm cone

What this part changes

The control arm holds the wheel in place and absorbs braking, potholes and acceleration. When its bushings or ball joint develop play, the alignment moves under load: the steering becomes vague, the tire wears unevenly, and no wheel alignment setting stays correct.

A new control arm restores the car's original precision - it's a repair, not a performance upgrade, but it is often the most noticeable change you can feel on a ten-year-old car.

What to plan for

  • Wheel alignment required after installation: the toe alignment changes as soon as you work on a control arm.
  • Tighten to the specified torque with the wheels on the ground, otherwise the bushings will be preloaded and may squeak.
  • If the suspension is removed, take the opportunity to inspect the ball joints and stabilizer links.
