The VIAIR 485C Gen 2 Platinum is the highest-performance piston compressor in the VIAIR range for air suspension. Its main feature: a 100% duty cycle at 200 PSI — whereas the 444C and 480C only offer 50% at maximum pressure. In other words, the 485C can operate continuously at full pressure, for up to one uninterrupted hour at 200 PSI. Its new Gen 2 head design, reinforced vibration isolators, and optimized construction also provide reduced noise levels compared with its predecessors.

  The compressor must operate only with a 40A fuse — a higher or lower amperage is not permitted. In a multi-compressor setup, each unit must have its own fuse.

  Install only in an area protected from water and heat — the compressor is not designed for direct exposure to spray or extreme temperatures.

  No lubricating oil required — dry-rotor compressor with no periodic maintenance.

  Use only with a battery in good condition and fully charged — excessively low voltage may damage the coil during startup.
