The VIAIR 485C Gen 2 Platinum is the highest-performing piston compressor in the VIAIR air ride range. Its main feature: a 100% duty cycle at 200 PSI — whereas the 444C and 480C only manage 50% at maximum pressure. In other words, the 485C can run continuously at full pressure, up to one hour uninterrupted at 200 PSI. Its new Gen 2 head design, reinforced vibration isolators, and optimized construction also provide lower noise levels compared to its predecessors.

  The compressor must only operate with a 40A fuse — higher or lower amperage is not allowed. In multi-compressor setups, each unit must have its own fuse.

  Install only in an area protected from water and heat — the compressor is not designed for direct exposure to splashes or extreme temperatures.

  No lubrication oil needed — dry rotor compressor, no periodic maintenance.

  Use only with a battery in good condition and fully charged — too low voltage can damage the coil at startup.
