What this part changes

The small hardware without which an exhaust system cannot be completed: flanges, sleeves, spare parts, and especially oxygen sensor adapters.

When a catalytic converter is removed, the downstream sensor no longer detects what it expects and the engine warning light comes on. An adapter places the sensor in a bypass, away from the main flow: the fault often disappears without altering the electronics. It treats the symptom, not the mapping - and it does not make the car road-legal.

What to plan for

  • Check the sensor's thread pitch (M18 × 1.5 in the vast majority of cases).
  • An adapter does not replace remapping.
