What this part changes

The brace connects the two strut towers. In a hard corner, the loaded suspension side pushes outward and the geometry deteriorates precisely when you need it most: the brace distributes the load between both sides.

The front end feels more precise when turning in, and the car maintains the same response from one corner to the next. The effect is noticeable on older chassis, convertibles, and high-mileage cars; less so on a modern body that is already rigid.

What to plan for

  • Check the clearance under the bonnet: engine covers, hoses, and the filter housing do not always leave enough room for the brace.
  • A brace should only be fitted to sound strut towers: stiffening between two points that move achieves nothing.
