The lip is the flat section that separates the wheel's edge from the beginning of the spokes. It gives a wheel its deep-dish effect, and it is the key aesthetic criterion for this type of design: the more pronounced it is, the deeper the wheel looks once fitted.

Rotiform publishes this measurement, making it possible to compare two references more accurately than by eye. At the same size, a deeper lip generally means a lower offset: check clearance under the fender.
