Count the pistons

Seal and piston kits differ between 4-, 6- and 8-piston calipers, and between the front and rear. A randomly ordered kit will not fit: the groove dimensions vary.

Discs

The disc is defined by its diameter, thickness and bolt pattern on the hat. Replace them in pairs, never one at a time: a new disc opposite a worn disc unbalances the braking.
