Dynamic Air Intakes
The air intake captures the flow where it is clean and fast - front bumper, side skirt, bonnet - and channels it into a duct.
NACA or protruding
The NACA duct is recessed flush with the bodywork: it creates no drag, is barely visible, and cleanly draws from the layer of air flowing along the side. A protruding intake (GT, side-mounted) captures significantly more airflow, but projects into the flow and increases drag. On a track car, choose the higher airflow; on a road car, the NACA.
Match the diameters
The intake outlet must match the duct: 51, 63, 76, 100 mm. A restriction along the way cancels out the benefit of the large inlet - the narrowest section determines the flow rate of the entire line.
