Exhaust Fittings & Adapters
The small hardware without which an exhaust line cannot be completed: flanges, sleeves, spare parts, and above all lambda sensor adapters.
The lambda sensor adapter
When a catalytic converter is removed, the downstream sensor no longer sees what it expects: it should read already-treated gas, but instead reads raw gas, and the ECU concludes that the catalytic converter has failed. Check engine light. An adapter places the sensor in a bypass, away from the flow: it sees a slowed and diluted sample, and the fault often disappears without modifying the electronics.
What it does not do
An adapter treats the symptom, not the mapping - and it does not make the car compliant. On some newer ECUs, it is not enough and software intervention is required.
Measure before ordering
Check the thread pitch of your sensor: M18 × 1.5 in the vast majority of cases, but not always. For a fitting or sleeve, it is the outer diameter of the tube that matters, not the advertised diameter of the line.
