What this part changes
The small hardware without which an exhaust system cannot be completed: flanges, sleeves, spare parts, and above all lambda sensor adapters.
When a catalytic converter is removed, the downstream sensor no longer detects what it expects and the engine warning light comes on. An adapter positions the sensor away from the flow: the fault often disappears without modifying the electronics. It treats the symptom, not the mapping - and it does not make the vehicle road-legal.
What to plan for
- Check the sensor's thread pitch (M18 × 1.5 in the vast majority of cases).
- An adapter does not replace remapping.
