Aviation Brake Lines
An aviation hose is a Teflon tube enclosed in a stainless-steel braid. The Teflon does not expand under pressure; the braid prevents it from swelling. The original rubber hose, on the other hand, gets larger with every brake application, and that expansion is lost pedal travel.
By the meter or pre-cut length
The ready-to-install lengths (inlet 165 cm, outlet 180 cm) cover a typical hydraulic handbrake installation, with crimped fittings. By the meter, you can assemble the exact length with the olive fittings of your choice - neater in a tight routing layout, but you need to know how to install an olive.
Black, transparent or bare braid
The bare stainless-steel braid looks good but is abrasive: wherever it rubs against a hose, wiring harness or paintwork, it wears them away. The black or transparent sheath protects surrounding components as well as the hose itself. In a crowded tunnel, choose the sheathed version.
