A hydraulic handbrake bolted directly to the tunnel sheet metal will eventually deform it: the force applied to the lever is considerable and concentrated over just a few square centimetres. The bracket absorbs this force and distributes it across a surface that can withstand it.

These brackets use the original handbrake mounting points for the cable-operated handbrake or centre console: no guesswork drilling, no welding, and the position ends up right where your hand reaches for it.

Vertical, horizontal, “pull-up”

The vertical version positions the lever vertically above the tunnel, while the horizontal “pull-up” version angles it toward the rear. It is more a matter of body shape and seat position than performance: try the motion while seated before deciding.
