Ventilation Ducts & Accessories
The duct connects the air intake to the scoop. It passes through a wheel arch, runs alongside a subframe, and comes close to an exhaust: hence the high-temperature Boa-type duct, which does not melt or collapse at the first point of contact.
Choosing the diameter
Ø63 mm is the standard for brake cooling on a prepared passenger car. Ø75 to 100 mm for a heavy car or endurance use. Ø43 mm for gearbox or differential ventilation.
Allow for slack
Order the duct longer than the measured length. A bend that is too tight chokes it and reduces the flow, while the suspension will change the distance by several centimetres with each compression. Secure it with the intended clamps, without pinching it.
