The maximum load rating, to check first
On a 4x4 or pickup, the load per wheel is much higher than that of a sedan—and it increases further with an outfitting, a loaded bed, or a trailer. Fitting an undersized wheel is a serious mechanical risk.
All catalog listings state their maximum load rating, listed on each product page. Compare it with the axle weight shown on your registration grey, divided by two. If the result is close, use the higher margin.
Negative offsets and increased track width
A large part of the range is available with negative offset: the wheel sticks out farther, widens the track, and gives the characteristic stance of off-road builds. The visual effect is immediate, but so are the consequences mechanical components as well.
A very negative offset increases the leverage on the bearings and the steering, and can make the wheel protrude beyond the wheel arch—which is not permitted in technical inspection. Check the fitment before ordering, and write to us if are you hesitating between two offsets.

Are these wheels suitable for off-road use?
That is their intended use: KMC designs its wheels for 4x4s, SUVs, and pickup. Nevertheless, check that the maximum load stated on the specification sheet cover that of your vehicle, including modifications and load.
How can I check the maximum load?
Your registration document shows the maximum axle weight: divide it by two to determine the load per wheel. The load rating stated for the wheel must higher. On a modified or towing vehicle, leave some margin.
What is negative offset?
The offset (ET) positions the mounting surface in relation to the center of the wheel. Negative, it moves the wheel outward and widens the track. This is the desired look for off-road use, but this puts more strain on the bearings and steering, and the wheel must not protrude beyond the wheel arch.
Can I order just one wheel?
Yes, all our KMC wheels are sold individually—convenient for replace a damaged wheel on an existing axle.
