Rigid Brake Pipes
The fixed part of the circuit, running along the floor. Copper bends by hand, does not rust, and can be worked without bodywork tools - unlike the original steel, which cannot be reshaped once installed.
What you need to install it
The roll, nuts with the correct thread (3/8" UNF or 10x100 depending on the vehicle), and a flaring tool to form the conical seat at the end of the pipe. This seat ensures a leak-tight seal: a poorly formed flare leaks, and no amount of tightening will fix it.
Bending
Keep the bend radii wide and secure the pipe every thirty centimetres. A rigid pipe that vibrates freely undergoes fatigue and eventually cracks at a stress point.
