Brake Caliper Paint
Caliper paint withstands temperatures at which ordinary paint blisters and yellows. It's the most visible modification you can make for the price of a tank of fuel.
Preparation is everything
Caliper removed, stripped with a wire brush, degreased with brake cleaner, and perfectly dry. A coat applied to a greasy or damp caliper will peel off in patches during the first hard braking, and everything will have to be redone. Painting it in place without removing it never lasts a season.
Kit or spray
The brush-on kit provides a thicker, more durable coat, with a hardener to mix in: it's the long-lasting choice. Spray is faster and more even on complex shapes, but requires careful masking of the disc and hub.
And readability
A light colour gets dirty quickly from brake-pad dust, but makes a fluid leak immediately visible. A black caliper hides both.
