A brake fitting must be selected based on both its thread AND its seating surface. A convex 3/8" UNF fitting will not seal in a concave seat, even if it screws in. Check both before ordering.
The brake system operates at over 100 bar: use only hoses and fittings designed for braking, never pneumatic or fuel-system components.
Aviation hose: the stainless-steel braid prevents the hose from expanding, keeping the pedal firm at the end of its travel. This is the most noticeable improvement on a car whose original hoses have aged.
