This is useful information: the wheel is part of the vehicle's unsprung mass, which the shock absorbers have to control over every bump in the road. A lighter wheel is easier to control and also reduces inertia during acceleration and braking.

As a guide, an 18-inch alloy wheel commonly weighs between 10 and 13 kg, depending on its width and design. The tire's weight is added to this figure.

Installation, bolts and centering rings

For BBS, the mounting kit — bolts and centering rings — is included with the purchase of a set of 4 wheels. An order of 1, 2, or 3 wheels is delivered without these parts. BBS bolts are included only if your vehicle's original ones are not compatible, and centering rings only if needed: specify your vehicle when ordering, and we'll determine what you need.
