It's useful information: the wheel is part of the vehicle's unsprung mass, which the shock absorbers must control over every road imperfection. A lighter wheel is easier to control and also reduces inertia during acceleration and braking.

For reference, an 18-inch alloy wheel commonly weighs between 10 and 13 kg, depending on its width and design. The tire's weight is added to this figure.

For BBS, the mounting kit — hardware and centering rings — is included when you buy a set of 4 wheels. Orders of 1, 2, or 3 wheels are delivered bare. BBS hardware is only supplied if your vehicle's original hardware is incompatible, and centering rings only if needed: specify your vehicle when ordering, and we'll determine what you need.
