This is useful information: the wheel is part of the vehicle's unsprung mass, which the shock absorbers must control over every bump in the road. A lighter wheel is easier to control and also reduces inertia during acceleration and braking.

For reference, an 18-inch alloy wheel typically weighs between 10 and 13 kg, depending on width and design. The tire's weight is added to this.

For BBS, the mounting kit — wheel hardware and centering rings — is included with the purchase of a set of 4 wheels. Orders of 1, 2, or 3 wheels are delivered bare. BBS wheel hardware is included only if your vehicle's original hardware is not compatible, and centering rings only if needed: specify your vehicle when ordering, and we'll determine what you need.
