BBS publishes the weight of each bare wheel, which few manufacturers do. It's useful information: the wheel is part of the vehicle's unsprung mass, which the shock absorbers have to control over every road imperfection. A lighter wheel is easier to control and also reduces rotational inertia during acceleration and braking.

For reference, an 18-inch alloy wheel commonly weighs between 10 and 13 kg, depending on its width and design. The tire's weight is added to this.

For BBS, the fitting kit — fasteners and centering rings — is included with the purchase of a set of 4 wheels. An order of 1, 2, or 3 wheels is delivered bare. BBS fasteners are only included if your vehicle's original fasteners are not compatible, and centering rings only if needed: specify your vehicle when ordering, and we'll determine what you need.
