This is useful information: the wheel is part of the vehicle's unsprung mass, which the shock absorbers have to control over every bump in the road. A lighter wheel is easier to control and also reduces inertia during acceleration and braking.

As a guide, an 18-inch alloy wheel typically weighs between 10 and 13 kg, depending on its width and design. The tire's weight is added to this.

With BBS, the fitting kit — hardware and centering rings — is included with the purchase of a set of 4 wheels. Orders for 1, 2 or 3 wheels are shipped without them. BBS hardware is supplied only if your vehicle's original hardware is not compatible, and centering rings only if needed: tell us your vehicle when ordering, and we'll work out what you need.
