This is useful information: the wheel is part of the vehicle's unsprung mass, which the shock absorbers must control over every road imperfection. A lighter wheel is easier to control and also reduces inertia during acceleration and braking.

For reference, an 18-inch alloy wheel typically weighs between 10 and 13 kg, depending on width and design. The tire's weight is added to this figure.

Installation, hardware and centering rings

For BBS, the installation kit — hardware and centering rings — is included with the purchase of a set of 4 wheels. An order of 1, 2 or 3 wheels is shipped bare. BBS hardware is included only if your vehicle's original hardware is not compatible, and centering rings only if needed: specify your vehicle when ordering, and we'll determine what you need.
