Gamechanger front kit for the ball joint front axle of the Beetle: 2 Bilstein × Contitech air struts, with optional plug & play relocators and stainless hoses. Complete it with the rear kit and an air management.

This kit needs an air management system to work (compressor, tank, controls). Pick one from our air management kits, or go straight for the version with manual management included.
🔧 Adjustable front axle required
Fitting the Gamechanger front struts requires an adjustable front axle (torsion bar height adjusters). Also check your axle type: link pin (Beetles up to 1965) or ball joint (from 1966).

How to choose your options
6 mm or 1/4" fittings
Pick the size of your air line. 6 mm (metric) matches the STREETEC management and most European systems; 1/4" matches US-standard systems. The struts have a 1/8" air inlet: the supplied fittings make the adaptation, nothing else needed.
Black stainless braided hoses
A stainless braided hose links each strut to your air line. Near the wheels it handles rubbing, road debris and heat better than bare nylon line, and follows suspension travel without kinking. Recommended whenever the line runs close to moving parts.
Front relocators
They move the strut's upper mount onto the original shock mount of the front axle: bolt-on, no welding or cutting. Without them you have to make and weld your own brackets. They are specific to your axle (ball joint front axle). Reminder: an adjustable front beam is mandatory to fit the kit.

Link pin or ball joint: which axle do I have?
As a rule, Beetles up to model year 1965 have a link pin front axle and those from 1966 a ball joint axle. If in doubt, send us a photo of your front axle.

Some parts (spring plates, brackets) change with the model year. We check compatibility with your year before shipping.
Is shipping included?
