Sport brake disc set for the front axle of the Opel Omega A

Specifications

Part numberEVOBS2020P
Weight11 kg
EAN code4251016795749

Technical details

  • OEM part numbers: 90271134, 569039

What this part changes

A sport disc is judged by its ability to dissipate heat, not by its appearance. Grooves and drilled holes expel the gases and dust that accumulate between the disc and the pad: braking remains sharp from one stop to the next, whereas a solid disc starts to feel spongy.

On a road car, the benefit is most noticeable on a mountain descent or during a track day - exactly where tired brakes become frightening.

What to plan for

  • Discs and pads must be replaced per axle, never on just one side.
  • Bedding-in: perform around ten progressive brakings without coming to a complete stop before pushing harder; otherwise the pad may not bed in properly and the disc may warp.
  • Check whether the ABS ring is supplied or can be transferred when the disc carries it.
✔ ECE approval
