The VIAIR 480C Stealth Black is the premium 12V piston compressor in the VIAIR range. It stands out from the 444C with its higher airflow of 1.86 CFM and, above all, its main 3/8" stainless steel fitting with integrated check valves — a larger diameter that reduces pressure loss and improves filling time for large tanks. With a 100% duty cycle at 100 PSI and a maximum pressure of 200 PSI, it is designed for the most demanding installations.

  The compressor must only operate with a 40A fuse — a higher or lower amperage is not permitted. In a multi-compressor configuration, each unit must have its own fuse.

  Install only in an area protected from water and heat — the compressor is not designed for direct exposure to splashes or extreme temperatures.

  No lubricating oil required — the VIAIR 480C is a dry-rotor compressor with no periodic maintenance.

  Use only with a battery in good condition and fully charged — excessively low voltage may damage the compressor coil during startup (high starting current).

  Ensure secure mounting and good conductivity of the ground cable between the compressor and the vehicle body.
