What this part changes
The brace connects the two shock absorber towers. In hard cornering, the loaded suspension tower pushes outward and the geometry deteriorates precisely when you need it most: the brace distributes the load between both sides.
The front end becomes more precise when turning in, and the car maintains the same response from one corner to the next. The effect is clear on older chassis, convertibles, and high-mileage cars; more subtle on a modern body that is already rigid.
What to plan for
- Check the clearance under the hood: engine covers, hoses, and the filter housing do not always accommodate the brace.
- A brace should only be installed on sound strut towers: stiffening between two points that move achieves nothing.
