What this part changes

The brace connects the two shock absorber towers. In a hard corner, the loaded suspension side pushes outward and the geometry deteriorates at precisely the moment you need it most: the brace distributes the load between both sides.

The front end becomes more precise when turning in, and the car maintains the same response from one corner to the next. The effect is noticeable on older chassis, convertibles, and high-mileage cars; it is subtler on a modern, already-rigid body.

What to plan for

Check the clearance under the hood: engine covers, hoses, and the air filter housing do not always accommodate the brace.
A brace should only be installed on sound strut towers: stiffening two points that are moving does not help.
