What this part changes
The link connects the stabilizer bar to the suspension arm: it transmits the anti-roll force. Its ball joints work constantly and are exposed to water, salt and brake dust.
The metallic rattling noise at low speed on rough roads is caused by these links nine times out of ten - well before the shock absorbers that usually get the blame.
What to plan for
- Always replace them in pairs: a new link paired with a worn one will quickly deteriorate.
