What this part changes

The anti-roll bar link connects the stabilizer bar to the suspension arm: it transmits the anti-roll force. Its ball joints work constantly and are exposed to water, salt and brake dust.

That metallic rattling noise at low speed on rough roads is caused by them nine times out of ten - well before the shock absorbers people tend to blame.

What to plan for

Always replace them as a pair: a new link working alongside a worn one will quickly deteriorate.
