Red steel strut brace for Honda Civic XI (FL, FE)
Specifications
What this part changes
The brace connects the two shock absorber towers. In hard cornering, the loaded suspension tower pushes outward and the geometry deteriorates precisely when you need it most: the brace shares the load between both sides.
The front end becomes more precise on turn-in, and the car maintains the same response from one corner to the next. The effect is noticeable on older chassis, convertibles, and high-mileage cars; it is more subtle on an already rigid modern body.
What to plan for
- Check the clearance under the bonnet: the engine cover, hoses, and air filter housing do not always accommodate the brace.
- A brace should only be installed on sound strut towers: stiffening between two points that move achieves nothing.
