What this part changes

The brace connects the two shock absorber top mounts. In a hard corner, the loaded side of the suspension pushes outward and the geometry deteriorates precisely when it is needed most: the brace distributes the load between both sides.

The front end feels more direct when turning in, and the car maintains the same response from one corner to the next. The effect is clear on older chassis, convertibles, and high-mileage cars; it is more subtle on an already rigid modern body.

What to plan for

Check the clearance under the bonnet: engine covers, hoses, and the air filter housing do not always get along with the brace.
A brace should only be installed on sound top mounts: stiffening between two moving points achieves nothing.
