The lip is the flat section that separates the edge of the wheel from the start of the spokes. It gives a wheel its deep-dish effect, and it is the primary aesthetic criterion for this type of design: the more pronounced it is, the deeper the wheel appears once fitted.

Rotiform publishes this measurement, making it possible to compare two references beyond appearances. With the same dimensions, a deeper lip generally means a lower offset: check clearance under the fender.
