MTS Comfort, Street or Stance: which coilover should you choose?
MTS Technik Coilovers:
Comfort, Street, or Stance?
How to choose the right series for your project — daily lowering, sporty versatility, or aggressive stance
✦ Made by enthusiasts, for enthusiasts ✦

Three series, three driving philosophies
MTS Technik has developed three coilover ranges to meet the very different expectations of enthusiasts: the Comfort series, the Street series, and the Stance series. It’s not just about price — each series has a different philosophy in terms of spring stiffness, maximum lowering, and comfort/sport compromise.
Choosing the wrong series means ending up with either a car too stiff for daily driving or a suspension too soft to achieve the look and behavior you really want.
⚙️ The Three Series in Detail

The Comfort series is for drivers who want to enjoy visible lowering without sacrificing the comfort of their original suspension. MTS Technik has proven with this range that coilovers don’t mean "concrete".
The priority here is not to go as low as possible, but to filter out road imperfections — potholes, speed bumps, road joints — while giving the car a discreet sporty look.
Typical profile
▸ Subtle and progressive lowering
▸ Springs with soft stiffness rates
▸ Behavior close to the series, but better
▸ Intensive daily use without fatigue
✔ Maximum ride comfort
✔ Ideal for rough roads
✔ Perfect for starting with coilovers
✖ Less dramatic lowering than Street/Stance
✖ Not suitable for stance or aggressive fitment setups

The Street series is the default configuration recommended by MTS Technik engineers, and the most popular in their range. It represents the ideal balance point: a real lowering range, a marked sporty touch, and enough comfort for daily driving without discomfort.
The Eibach springs of the Street series are designed to offer sporty driving sensations while remaining usable daily, under European road conditions.
Typical profile
▸ Wide lowering range (25–90 mm depending on model)
▸ Eibach sport springs with calibrated rates
▸ Precise and dynamic behavior
▸ Usable every day without restrictions
✔ The most versatile series
✔ Significantly improved road behavior
✔ Compatible with daily use + sporty driving
✖ Not designed for maximum wheel fitment
✖ Less stiff than Stance for very dynamic driving

The Stance series is a no-compromise solution for those whose priority is maximum lowering and perfect wheel fitment. Stiffer springs, extended lowering range downward: everything is designed to fit the rims to the wheel arches to the millimeter.
The increased stiffness compared to the Street series allows precise control of ride height, while drastically reducing play in the wheel arches for a radical visual effect.
Typical profile
▸ Maximum available lowering
▸ Eibach springs with high stiffness rates
▸ Minimal rim-to-wheel arch clearance
▸ Ultra-precise behavior in dynamic driving
✔ Maximum wheel fitment and look
✔ Sporty stiffness for dynamic driving
✔ Maximum reduction of body roll in corners
✖ Reduced comfort — less suitable for very rough roads
✖ Often requires adapted camber

📊 Damping Curves — The 3 Series
MTS Technik publishes the damping characteristics of each series. These curves clearly illustrate the behavioral differences between Comfort, Street, and Stance.
Soft curve, maximum shock absorption. Priority is given to filtering irregularities rather than stiffness.
Balanced curve between comfort and sport. The reference setup for the vast majority of projects.
Steep curve, immediate response to inputs. Designed to minimize body roll and maximize road holding in dynamic driving.

🔧 Technologies and Construction
What is common to the three series — and justifies MTS Technik's quality positioning in the premium entry/mid-range.

The Patented Adjustment Nut
The hexaCOIL nut is one of MTS Technik's key innovations. It allows adjusting the ride height by acting directly on the spring position. Unlike traditional double-nut systems, its hexagonal design eliminates the problem of jamming and seizing during adjustments — a common flaw in entry-level coilover kits.
Developed and tested for over 2 years before production, it guarantees smooth, precise, and reproducible adjustments over time.

The World Leader in Sport Springs
The vast majority of MTS Technik kits include springs made by Eibach, the world leader in competition springs (Bugatti, F1, NASCAR, WRC). This is what sets MTS Technik apart from brands using generic springs.
Balanced features, high-quality steel, minimal manufacturing tolerances, enhanced anti-corrosion protection, and superior durability — the same standards applied to race cars.

Gas/Oil Bi-Tube Shock Absorbers
The pressurized gas twin-tube technology is at the heart of all MTS Technik kits. The pressurized gas keeps the hydraulic oil in constant contact with the piston, eliminating cavitation ("foaming") even during intensive and repeated use.
The result: consistent damping performance over time, with no degradation even on track or mountain roads.

Polyurethane Suspension Bump Stops
MTS Technik kits come with polyurethane (PUR) bump stops instead of the original rubber stops. Polyurethane offers significantly greater durability than rubber: it better resists repeated compression, aging, and chemical attacks.
The practical result in use: a more progressive shock absorber end stroke, sustained comfort over time, and a longer lifespan than the original bump stops.

Double Anti-Corrosion Protection
MTS Technik shock absorbers feature a double layer of golden zinc on the shock bodies, and the adjustments are made from anodized aluminum to resist oxidation and the effects of road salt.
The MTS Technik warranty is 2 years with unlimited mileage — a sign of confidence in the durability of their products.
Camber Top Mounts & Sway Bar Links
On some references, MTS Technik kits include sway bar links and/or camber plates to adjust wheel angles — particularly useful when a significant lowering modifies the original geometry.
The camber top mounts are machined directly in MTS factories in Poland. High manufacturing precision, fine camber adjustment with graduated marks on the cup for reproducible and reliable settings.
🎯 How to Choose Your Series?
Here are the typical profiles based on your project and driving style.
You mostly drive daily, the roads in your area could be better, and you want a slightly sporty look without sacrificing comfort. You're not yet into the stance lifestyle.
You want a real visible lowering, sporty and dynamic driving, but you use the car every day. You're looking for the balanced solution that engineers have optimized exactly for this profile.
Wheel fitment is your priority. You want to lower as much as possible, minimize play in the wheel arches, and have a radical visual effect. Comfort takes a back seat to stance.
